Saint Laurent’s permanent collection

In celebration with the opening of Saint Lauren’t new Avenue Montaigne flagship store in Paris, the house released a ”permanent collection” which will be available in stores and online all year long. It basically comprises all of the characteristic pieces (equivalent to the best sellers) from the brand’s newly developed aesthetics, including Le Smoking, a leopard print coat, a duffle bag, blouses in black and white and a motorcycle jacket. Because of Hedi Slimane’s past in photography, he captured Freja Beha Erichsen for the ad campaign (which surely won’t be permanent however), wearing the classics in the marble store of Saint Laurent.

Online retailer Net-a-Porter today released an exclusive capsule collection by designer duo of Proenza Schouler, which marks their second collaboration of this kind after working with Target in 2007. Lots of time has passed by since then and Proenza Schouler has delivered an array of great items over the years, of which the bestselling ones from previous Resort collections were inspiration. The limited collection comprises 9 items including mini skirts, leather shorts, a twill jacket (above) among other pieces, all with distinct surfing references found in the aqua hues, tie-dye prints and of course the overall sporty beach appearance.

Filippa K Sunglasses

filippaksun Ssedish fashion brand Filippa K is releasing sunglases on the 24th of April this spring. The sunglasses come in two shades; black and turtle in this minimalistic take on the glamorous cat eye. The collection is limited and only 100 glasses will be sold, all of them made by hand in Italy and numbered. They are constructed of silk acetate and have a 100% UV-protection. The Filippa K crew states that hopefully the range of sunglasses from the brand will expand in the future, and we do too!

Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen for Bikbok

This weekend ended with head turning news from BikBok´s part. The high street brand will during the fall of 2013 release no less than three collections based on Mary-Kate & Ashley Olsen´s take on the Scandinavian it-girl style. The twins famous for their main line the Row have won the CFDA Womenswear designer of the year award in New York and have a high reputation in the fashion industry. We foresee this collaboration to become one of the most anticipated ones for fall, and already look forward to see the pieces.

The new icons of H&M

Not only did H&M’s launch its more exclusive brand & Other Stores recently, and this week announcing the spring/summer campaign 2013 featuring Beyoncé as well as the campaign of the Concious Collection of 2013, H&M is just about to launch yet another collection in April called The new icons. The currently most intriguing faces of the industry naming Daphne Groeneveled, Joan Smalls, Lindsey Wixon and Liu Wen have each with their personality inspired the new pre-summer collection of H&M. The collection comprises 21 pieces of apparel and accessories with a rocker meet bohemian edge to meet the effortless off-duty coolness of the models.
