Frida Gustavsson chanelles subtle and quiet beauty in the latest issue of Vogue Japan photographed by Boo George. Set at the country side, Frida sports bohemian yet elegant looks arranged by Havana Lafitte from brands including Givenchy, Haider Ackermann and Céline.

The Great Gatsby on everybody’s mind. First Karlie Kloss on the cover of the 20′s themed May issue of the Australian Vogue. Now Carey Mulligan for American Vogue, the actress who actually stars in the film as the main character Daisy playing against Leonardo DiCaprio. On the cover, she sports a lime green velvet dress that might as well be taken directly from the film, like the rest of the outfits of the spread featuring lots of peals, feathers and headgears.

Competing against the likes of Scarlett Johansson and Natalie Portman among others for the role, Carey Mulligan was to director Baz Luhrmann the right choice whom she got a call from just in the middle of the CFDA awards 2010, to announce the news.

In the latest issue of Harper’s Bazaar, Carine Roitfeld casted a handful of new faces besides the recurring favourite of hers Kate Upton for a shoot called The Animal Nursery shot by Sebastian Faena. Featuring baby animals, this topic of controversy has received lots of media attention, including reactions from the American organization PETA which told  Fashionista in a statement that: “All the animals in the photographs are endangered and should be protected, rather than being treated like props.”. The name quite ironically suggests the opposite that is. But the spread will nonetheless feature in all of the 26 international editions of the magazine.

The 8 covers of Antidotes spring issue dons supermodels such as Jacquelyn Jablonski, Daphne Groeneveld, Barbara Palvin, Catherine McNeil, Jac Jagaciak, Zuzanna Bijoch, Valerija Kelava and Frida Gustavsson. The looks feature the most stand out looks from the spring collections and are styled according to different stereotypes. The models are photographed by Hans Feurer.
