Absolut Vodka is known for its creative bottle designs, often created in limited editions in collaboration with designers, artists and other creative minds including fashion designers Gareth Pugh as well as Ennio Capasa of Costume National and Swedish illustrators Liselotte Watkins and Mats Gustafson.

For its latest luxury vodka Absolut Elyx, Absolut appointed the founder and head designer of BLK DNM Johan Lindeberg as creative director. For the ad campaign of the bottle, Lindeberg captured Chloë Sevigny wearing BLK DNM tailoring (a more exclusive line of the brand), which will start running in Interview Magazine this week.

Target taps Philip Lim

Target recently announced its next designer collaboration being 3.1 Philip Lim set to release on September 15 (only three days after its fashion show in New York) . The sketches reveal that the capsule collection will comprise more than 100 pieces of both womens and menswear including t-shirts as well as gowns and coats. Prices will range between $20 and $300, of which the more pricey ones are leather jackets and leather bags.

The collaboration marks Philip Lim’s first production for the masses. He tells in the video below that the thing about this collaboration that interested him was “making it a wardrobe for the modern-day citizen with their multifaceted multitextural lives that happen to be always on the go. It ranges from a t-shirt to a gown to a carry-on bag.”

The June 2013 issue of American Vogue stars as according to rumours the very Kate Upton on the cover, marking the first model feature on the cover since Kate Moss’s in June 2011. Kate Upton has for the past two years been acclaimed as the girl of the moment, starting from being a swimsuit model only to become a high fashion model. She lately landed both British and Italian Vogue as well as Sports Illustrated’s Swimsuit issue for the second time in a row. The cover story is shot by Mario Sorrenti in the secluded landscape of Uruguay at the hotel Fasano Las Piedras, where Kate Upton wears classic American looks styled by Tonne Goodman.

New exhibtion in name of Isabella Blow

Isabella Blow, fashion editor and muse of Alexander McQueen (of which she bought his whole graduate collection) and Philip Treacy, left a ledgacy of iconic pieces after her passing. The Somerset House in London will in November open an exhibit to her memory called Isabella Blow: Fashion Galore!, WWD reports.

The exhibition will include 100 pieces from her personal wardrobe including the complete spring/summer 2008 collection of Alexander McQueen dedicated to her, and is additionally to depict her aristocratic background as well as her close relationships to McQueen an Treacy. Composed by the Isabella Blow Foundation and Central Saint Martins, the exhibit will run from November 20 through March 2.
